: Louis considers this a very Zen traditional song. He learned it from an archival recording of the singing of Xavier Leblanc from an Acadian community in Grande-Rivière on the Gaspé peninsula. In the song, a young woman worries what her father will say about her boyfriend. The boyfriend replies, “He’ll say what he has to say, and when he’s said all that he has to say, he’ll have nothing more to say.” Wise words.

Had to check the notes to see who else was playing fiddle. Laura’s versatility is astonishing, combined with superb skills from her friends. Not going to choose a favourite track until another ten plays, if then. Please don’t make us wait two decades for more. kinfan
