: Devon spent a memorable week at the Festival of American Fiddle Tunes translating for the great Acadian fiddler Bertrand Déraspe of the Magdalen Islands. Late one night, Bertrand shared this complex tune with Devon. There’s no name, so we took to calling it “Reel à Glendon” after the nickname that Bertrand gave Devon all week! Bertrand remembers his grandfather, Célestin, whistling this tune to him from his rocking chair next to a roaring woodstove on the Magdalen Islands.

Had to check the notes to see who else was playing fiddle. Laura’s versatility is astonishing, combined with superb skills from her friends. Not going to choose a favourite track until another ten plays, if then. Please don’t make us wait two decades for more. kinfan
