This tune from Georges LeBlanc is a part of the repertoire of Memramcook accordion players. Thanks to the research and PhD thesis of Joel Cormier, “Acadian Accordion Music in South Eastern New Brunswick”, a treasure trove of accordion music is alive and well in this part of Acadia. Georges LeBlanc, who lived in Dieppe near Moncton, was one of the major players and an annual accordion festival in Moncton that he started is named after him.

Had to check the notes to see who else was playing fiddle. Laura’s versatility is astonishing, combined with superb skills from her friends. Not going to choose a favourite track until another ten plays, if then. Please don’t make us wait two decades for more. kinfan
