: Robin is a marvelous fiddler from a long line of Acadian fiddlers from Memramcook. He learned from his uncle, Ira, and his grandfather, Fériol, but also learned by traveling all over North America searching out old tunes and ancient Acadian routes. We visited with him at his farmhouse outside Bathurst, New Brunswick, where he grows most of his own food and grinds his own wheat for bread. He shared some amazingly beautiful tunes from his uncle Ira LeBlanc, like these three here, and shared a delicious homemade meal with his family and us.

Had to check the notes to see who else was playing fiddle. Laura’s versatility is astonishing, combined with superb skills from her friends. Not going to choose a favourite track until another ten plays, if then. Please don’t make us wait two decades for more. kinfan
